The amount of shootings that have been occurring is unbelievable. Both men and women have been picking up these guns and are shooting people. People don’t realize but if it continues like this the population will decrease quickly. Problems like this also stop children from living their life.
As stated in “daily news”, a 19-year-old, who shot a Florida high school student on Friday the 20th of April 2018, shared the “adrenaline rush” he felt that morning and acknowledged he should not have had a gun. Sky Bouche, 19, was arrested at Forest High School in Ocala on Friday, just hours before the students planned to participate in a nationwide gun violence protest to mark the anniversary of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School .Instead, students and faculty barricaded themselves during the lockdown. At the end of this a 17 year old boy was taken to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the ankle.
It was also stated by the “daily news” that, Bouche faces several charges including terrorism and aggravated assault with a firearm, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Bouche originally planned a shooting of some kind on Friday the 13th before changing his mind and deciding to shoot up a school in order to attract more media attention, according to the sheriff’s office. This shows that the court is trying to get these people to stop by giving them higher charges, but would this work?
School is a place of learning, not shooting. When you got to school you shouldn’t have to worry about someone coming to shoot you. Is this what school is coming to for us children? There is so much pain and hurt that people are going through. As the kids demonstrated in Washington enough is enough.
